Resident of the FPV Prepares to Launch a Line for Assembling Heavy Tipper Bodies

The production company "Yubo-Sumotori" has completed the commissioning of the line for assembling of heavy tipper bodies, adapted to the working conditions in the Far East.
Initially, under the agreement on investment activity, concluded with JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East” in November 2016, the resident of the FPV took on the obligations to create in Primorsky Krai the manufacturing of cargo vehicles of the Chinese brand "FAW" using parts imported from China and further distribute these vehicles. The joint project of the group of companies "Sumotori" located in Primorye and the Chinese investor Yubo-Automotive, which needs a low level of capital costs, started in the city of Artyom last year. To date, “Production Сompany Yubo-Sumotori” has released under the license of a certified manufacturer more than 200 dumpers, which have been shipped to different regions of Russia, and proceeded to the next stage of the project: a greater localization and assembling large automotive parts for "FAW" trucks.

“A new line has been installed in the assembly shop; it allows modifying the standard body model to the requirements of customers,” said the deputy director of the Russian-Chinese JV Konstantin Gurkovich. - The conveyor with a capacity of up to 30 bodies per month includes seven stages of production: from panels of high-quality sheet steel to finished products. The specific purpose of the equipment: transportation of solid rocks and other heavy loads is taken into account. In the course of production, a heating system is additionally built into the body; special attention is paid to the reliability of the connections and hydraulics.”
The next stage of the project will allow “PC Yubo-Sumotori” to increase the scope of work and accelerate the production of heavy equipment designed for highly maneuverable work on construction sites, which is in demand in the Russian Far East, where many projects of ASEZ and FPV residents are under active construction. Today, "FAW" trucks can be seen on the construction sites of the plant “Zvezda”,  “Vladivostok-Nakhodka-Port Vostochny”, coal cuts of Luchegorsky and Poltavsky. These cars are already of interested for large companies in Siberia, the Urals, China, and this resident of FPV is ready to expand the distribution.

“Previously, similar machinery was purchased abroad and resold in Russia, now it is assembled in Primorye,” said Vitaly Verkeenko, chair of the board of directors of the Primorye Sumotori group of companies.
- Our project is being implemented in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to support the development of the automotive industry in the Far East. At the same time, it is important that the requirements for the level of localization commensurate with the production volumes of investors and take into account the interests of small and medium size businesses. Reducing this level for small and medium size businesses will be a major support for the development of manufacturing in the region and the saturation of the domestic market with home-made equipment.”
Denis Tikhonov, Director General of JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East”, has already said that the same tax and administrative privileges apply for residents of ASEZ and FPV: reducing the total amount of insurance premiums by 10 years to 7.6%, tax preferences for land, profits, property, free customs zone, the possibility of attracting foreign labor without quotas, diverse administrative support.
To date, residents of the free port of Vladivostok under the agreements with JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East” have already invested about 52.4 billion rubles in the region's economy, creating 6106 jobs. The number of residents of the FPV has now reached 1010. The total value of the projects implemented by investors equals 571.9 billion rubles, as a result, of the full implementation of which 58.1 thousand jobs will be created.
